Authenticity = Alignment

In the world of unreasonable shifting and changing beauty standards, scrolling and constant comparison, what’s trending and cool this week, and then canceled the next; it can be really hard to navigate how you should present yourself in the world.

I am blessed that I finally have a sense of community in my life where I’m surrounded by like-minded women, who I respect and who mirror to me and who I learn from all the time.

I don’t believe I would have ever been an energetic match to attracting such an amazing community if I hadn’t been through hell first. One thing that I continue to learn from this group of awesome women at Ethos is the medicine that I offer the world.

You see when you are living your authentic truth and being yourself, then and only then can you experience true alignment. The alignment that is meant for you can’t come from masking or from copying the lifestyle or beliefs of another person… not only that, but I promise you that you being your unique self (with all your very human negative and positive attributes ) is exactly the medicine that the world needs.

You are as perfect as you could ever be in your humanness in this body right now.

As a teen, I was always made to feel as though I were strange, or I were too much of something or not enough of something else. It was really hard for me to feel like I belonged anywhere at all. Despite all that being said, I really didn’t know how to be any other way.

Every human on earth is a little tiny fragment of something that is already perfect, but broke off to have these mini human imperfect experiences, and to feel. That means that all beauty in the world is your own; and so is all of the ugliness. Every time you judge your brother or sister for their behaviors, or their lack of discipline, it is you only fearing or not loving the parts of yourself that remind you of this person.

 All success and wins are yours and all failures are yours as well. Your timing is your timing and every time you compare yourself to another person you are forgetting that your own being in medicine on this earth. You are so needed and exactly the way you are.

You can sit in a restaurant and hear a person talking about how happy they are with their lover, and know that their love is yours. You can let your friend cry on your shoulder about their heartache over a past love one and know that their pain is your pain too.

We are all one is this beautiful, messy chaos we call life.

Love,

Ashley
